In the only meeting that they avoided defeat, Rangers needed a stoppage time goal to see the game end 3-3. This run leaves Rangers with just one win in 11 meetings with Celtic. It won’t help that Rangers have been inconsistent in their recent matches, failing to win in five of their last nine matches. Their away run isn’t great either, Rangers having managed just a win in five matches away from home. As they look to put behind them a tough league campaign, Rangers will hereby be seeking their second trophy of the season. They won the League Cup in December.

Celtic will enter this game as favorites, based on their recent run against their Glasgow rivals. In the four meetings between them this season, Celtic dominated on their way to winning the league title. Rangers haven't had a great run ahead of this game.
