Portugal v Uruguay Betting Tips [28 November 2022]

Portugal face Uruguay in the second set of matches in World Cup Group H. The Portuguese top the group with three points, ahead of Uruguay and South Korea on one point and Ghana with no points. They beat Ghana 3-2 in their opening game but it could easily have been a draw. Ghana missed a golden chance right at the end of the game after a bad mistake by Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa. A final score of 3-2 didn't look likely as the game was still goalless going into the 64th minute. Ronaldo then scored a penalty but he'd missed some good chances before that. They will qualify for the last 16 if winning this match and will remember what happened at that stage four years ago. On that occasion, they lost 2-1 to Uruguay, so will be out for some revenge.

Uruguay only drew 0-0 with South Korea in their opening game. They still have to play Ghana and will be hopeful of making it out of the group. Uruguay finished third in the South American qualifying group (Portugal qualified via the play-offs) but were 11 points behind Argentina and 17 adrift of Brazil. 10 of their 18 qualifiers saw under 2.5 goals scored in the match and 10 of their 22 goals conceded were scored by Brazil and Argentina. South Korea play Ghana earlier in the day and how that goes will of course be of interest to Uruguay. A draw would be a good result for them with the Koreans still to play Portugal. Uruguay have only one defeat in their last 10 games. That was a 1-0 loss to Iran in September. Six of their last eight games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. They have only scored in one of their last three games which is a worry for them. Go for under 2.5 goals in this game with a side bet on a draw.

The result of the earlier game may influence this match. A win for either South Korea or Ghana would really put the pressure on Uruguay. If it was to be drawn though, then Uruguay's chances of qualifying would be intact even if losing to Portugal. They drew their first game 0-0 and are struggling for goals at present. Portugal won their opening game but weren't always impressive. Go for under 2.5 goals in this match. Have a side bet on the game ending level.
