Italy became the first team through to the last sixteen of Euro 2020 when beating Switzerland on Wednesday. Their final match in Group A is against Wales who can win the group by beating the Italians. Italy beat Switzerland 3-0 but it could have been a lot more than that. The win makes it ten wins in a row, all without conceding a single goal. They are unbeaten since September 2018 and avoiding defeat in this game will take their unbeaten run to 30 matches. They should be able to beat Wales but the only concern is the line-up that will be chosen by Roberto Mancini. With a place in the last sixteen already confirmed, will he make a few team changes and rest his top players? If he does, we'll get a chance to see how their fringe players can perform.
Wales are all but in the last sixteen after the win over Turkey. With four points and a +2 goal difference, it's hard to see there being four best third placed sides than them. Why even talk about third place? Even if they lose this match they have a good chance of finishing second because of their superior goal difference. At worse Wales will want to lose this game but by a narrow scoreline. They have only lost one of their last six games but do struggle when up against the top teams with losses to France and Belgium. They will battle hard in this game but with it being played in Rome, the tip is for Italy to win this match.
