Greece v Ireland Betting Tips [16 June 2023]

Greece look to make it two wins out of two in their Euro 2024 qualifying group. They host Ireland who lost their opening Group B match at home to France. Also in this group are the Netherlands and Gibraltar. France lead the group by three points after winning both their opening couple of fixtures. Greece are already in the play-offs due to their Nations League performances. Their one game in this group has seen them go to minnows Gibraltar and 'The Pirate Ship' came home with a 3-0 victory. That's their only win in the last four games they have played. Their most recent fixture was an uninspiring goalless home draw in a friendly against Lithuania. Home form is strong though with just one loss in their last 16 games. The Sky Blues and Whites are unbeaten in their last five home games since a loss to Spain in November 2021 with the last three competitive fixtures all being won. Six of their last ten home games have seen under 2.5 goals scored. 

Ireland will have to finish in the top two to qualify for the finals. They are home to Gibraltar in their next fixture so will be confident of three points from that match. Before that though they really need to get something from this away game against Greece, even if it's only a point. They played well against France in their opening game but still lost 1-0 at home. Their away form is not inspiring with just five victories in their last 26 matches. Those wins have come against Malta, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, Andorra and Gibraltar, not the greatest quintet you'llsee. They have failed to win any of their last four away Euro qualifiers and won just two of the last ten, both in Gibraltar. Their last 12 Euro qualifiers have seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.
