Carlos Alcaraz v Novak Djokovic Betting Tips [9 June 2023]

One of the most awaited games at Roland Garros will see Carlos Alcaraz take on Novak Djokovic in the semifinal. Top seed Alcaraz will be looking to stay top with a win over third seed Djokovic in this Friday game. The winner will play either fourth seed Casper Ruud or 22nd seed Alexander Zverev in the final. Alcaraz has twice this season lost his hold on top spot in the ATP to Djokovic. He however regained the position following his third-round showing in Rome. The Spaniard has made it to the last four in Paris for the first time in what is his fourth appearance. He defeated fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the last round in straight sets. It was his fourth 3-0 win in five matches at the competition and took his tally for the season to 35 wins. Alcaraz has played 38 matches thus far with 25 of his victories coming on clay. So far he has won four titles. These two have played each other once before, in Madrid last season where Alcaraz won on his way to the title.

Novak Djokovic defeated 11th seed Karen Khachanov 3-1 to advance to this round. That match saw him drop his first set in the competition, which was the opening set. It was his 10th win on clay in 13 matches and 25th overall for the season. Djokovic is a two-time French Open champion, last winning in 2021, and has finished as runners-up four times. He has however been eliminated in this round more times than any other round with five defeats. Last season he was eliminated in the quarterfinals. The current world number three has two titles won already this season including a record-extending 10th title in Melbourne.

This match pits two of the best players in the ATP; it is bound to be a cracker. Alcaraz is the favorite as he has dominated the clay court scene once again, and has gone all the way to win titles.
