Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg Betting Tips [7 June 2020]

Werder Bremen are seventeenth in the German Bundesliga, where they sit six points from the bottom of the table standings. With five matches to the end of the season, they can easily climb out of the automatic relegation slots as they are only two points adrift of sixteenth team Fortuna Dusseldorf and three behind Mainz, who are fifteenth.  Bremen are lined up to play sixth side VfL Wolfsburg, who currently occupy the second Europa League position, also the highest they can realistically finish the season at. 

Werder Bremen have played five games since the league resumed from the coronavirus break, out of which they have won twice and lost twice. They most recently fell 3-0 at home to Eintranct Frankfurt, ending their unbeaten three game run. At home, Werder Bremen have a deplorable record comprising four losses and one draw in five league matches. The team has also scored just one goal in five home games out of which they recorded one clean sheet. 

Visitors Wolfsburg will be hoping for a better game than they had in the reverse tie when they lost 3-2.  Wolfsburg have won once and lost three times in their four  games since the resumption of the league. However, they have managed to score at least one goal in three of four games, all of which had over 2.5 goals. The team's away form is quite stable as they have won three times and settled for one draw  in four league matches, all games ending with over 2.5 goals. 

Werder Bremen have to be cautious in defense and bold in attack as they urgently need wins to escape the chop. Wolfsburg too will be on the attack from the word go as they seek to protect their Europa League position. We expect goals by both opponents, with Bremen possibly finding the back of the net first and with a total of over 2.5 goals.
