Juventus travel to Udinese for the season opener in the Serie A on Sunday. The Old Lady finished a disappointing fourth in the previous season and somehow scraped into the Champions League at the expense of Napoli in a late surge of results. However, the Champions League qualification was never enough as Andrea Pirlo was replaced by Massimiliano Allegri at the helm for the new season. Allegri has brought in the likes of Kaio Jorge and Manuel Locatelli which provide added flair to Juventus’ attacking front. Juventus won three pre-season games and lost once. Their last pre-season game was against Atalanta where they ran away as 3-1 victors. Juventus have a good track record against Udinese, winning four of the previous five head-to-head games.
Udinese on the contrary have already got their season kick-started with a Copa Italia tie with Ascoli. Roberto Pereyra scored a brace while Nahuel Molina scored the third goal as Udinese clinched a 3-1 victory. The Bianconeri finished 14th in the previous season and ended the season on a five-match winless streak and managed to win just twice in their last 12 Serie A games. They also have not managed to keep a single clean sheet in 12 straight games either.
