Torino will look to finish eighth as they welcome third-placed Inter Milan on Saturday in Serie A. This last match of the league campaign will be played at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino. The hosts are ahead of ninth-placed Fiorentina only on head-to-head points. With only two points separating them from the 11th-placed Bologna, they could even end up outside top-ten with an opposing result here. As the threat of a European ban hangs over seventh-placed Juventus, finishing eighth could earn a surprise ticket to Europe next season. The Maroons have stitched a five-game unbeaten run, winning three matches, and will be confident of doing their bit. It is the home form that should worry Il Toro having failed to win their last six matches at this venue.
Inter are guaranteed to finish in the top-four while the best they can do is finish second. However, they could still be overtaken by fourth placed Milan who are only two points behind them. With very little incentive on that front, they could be forgiven for looking ahead. The Nerazzurri have an upcoming Champions League final against Manchester City next week. That could see manager Simone Inzaghi rotate his squad to keep them fresh. The visitors have been in impressive form of late with ten wins from their last 11 games. This run has seen them win the Coppa Italia title too, so Inter have earned the right to take things slow here. They have also won six and drew one of their recent seven league matches against Torino giving them a slight edge. Even this season, Inter have won six of their last seven away competitive matches suggesting they could yet put their best foot forward here.
