The North London derby is always an important match, if only sometimes for the fans. This one is worth millions of pounds as fifth placed Tottenham host Arsenal who are in fourth. Tottenham are four points behind the final Champions League place and both sides have three games to play. A win for Arsenal on Thursday will see them back in the Champions League next season. If Tottenham win, they narrow the gap to one point. Tottenham lost ground at the weekend when only getting a point at Anfield, though they did well to achieve that. The home side have only won one of their last four Premier League games and that was a 3-1 home win over Leicester. They have won four of their last five home league fixtures but are prone to bad results at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. If they do miss out on a top four finish, they will remember the home losses to Southampton, Brighton and Wolves. They still rely heavily on Son and Kane and they will need to be on top form for the rest of the season.
Arsenal go into this game knowing even a defeat won't end their hopes of a return to the Champions League. If they did lose on Thursday, winning their final two games against Newcastle and Everton will take them into the promised land. Even a draw at Tottenham wouldn't be that bad a result. The weekend saw them get a 2-1 home win over Leeds United and that was their fourth straight Premier League victory. On their travels, Arsenal have won seven of their last nine away league fixtures. Both teams have scored in the last two of them and in all of the last four Arsenal league fixtures. A bet on both Tottenham and Arsenal getting on the scoresheet looks a good one to make.
