Swansea v Luton Town Betting Tips [1 February 2022]

It's looking unlikely that Swansea City will make it to the Championship play-offs for a third straight season. They are currently down in 13th place and host Luton Town who are in tenth, seven points ahead of them. Swansea do have a couple of games in hand on Middlesbrough in sixth but are 13 points behind them. City are 12 points above the bottom three, so a relegation battle doesn't look likely. Their season has been hindered with a near-month without playing a league game in December and January due to Covid-19. They have only won one of their last seven league games and are struggling to score goals. Swansea have only one goal in their last three league games, though that did get them a home win over Preston. Each of their last four league fixtures have had under 2.5 goals scored in them including the 2-0 loss at Hull on Saturday. 12 home games have only seen 27 goals scored. 

Luton Town are six points off the final promotion play-off position and have a game in hand. Their home form is impressive with five points being picked up against the top three teams in the table in recent weeks. That includes a goalless draw with Blackburn at the weekend. It's not quite the same story on their travels though. Only two of their last seven away league games have been won and in four of the last seven, they have failed to score a goal. Three of their last four Championship matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored and five out of six on the road. Go for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
