13th placed Southampton have a tough home game this weekend. They are still looking to win their first game of the Premier League season and host unbeaten West Ham United who are second in the table. Southampton took the lead in their first two league games of the season away at Everton and home to Manchester United. However, they were unable to hold onto those leads, losing 3-1 at Goodison Park and drawing 1-1 with United. They then travelled to Newcastle and needed a 96th minute penalty to earn a 2-2 draw. Their last 11 Premier League home games have only produced three wins, all against teams in the bottom half of the table and one (Fulham) now in the Championship. Six league goals have already been conceded in three Premier League games and they are likely to struggle with the West Ham midfield and attack.
West Ham are second in the Premier League with two wins and a draw. They began the new season with a come from behind 4-2 win at Newcastle United. That was followed by two home games, beating Leicester City 4-1 and then drawing 2-2 with Crystal Palace. That's ten goals in three games and four of them have been scored by Mikhail Antonio. The Hammers have only lost one of their last six away Premier League games and have won two of their last three league visits to Southampton. Back West Ham to win and have a side bet on them doing so with both teams scoring.
