Amiens SC v PSG Betting Tips [15 February 2020]

Two sides in contrasting form will go head-to-head when league leaders Paris Saint-Germain travel to face relegation threatened Amiens. The home side are 19th and in dire form with just one win in 15 league matches and they are five points from safety while PSG have a 12-point advantage at the top of the table.  

Amiens have just one league win since October and they have just one victory from their last 15 games in all competitions. The hosts have lost three of their six Ligue 1 games in 2020 and five of eight matches in all competitions since the start of the year. Three of Amiens’ four league wins have come at home but they have picked up only one win in seven at the Stade de la Licorne. Amiens have the second worst defence in the league conceding 43 goals in 24 games but they have offered more resistance in recent weeks conceding just four goals in their last four matches. 

As for PSG they have been in relentless form in 2020 winning 11 of their 12 matches including each of their last nine. They fired six past Dijon in midweek meaning they have now scored 17 times in four matches this month. PSG have played 38 times this season already and haven’t lost since the 1st of November, 22 games ago. What’s even more astonishing is the fact that they have won 86.8% of their matches which is 33 of their 38 games. On the road the capital side have won 11 games in succession and only Dijon and Rennes have taken points of PSG when hosting them. 

This match will only go the way of the travelling side in my opinion. Amiens have proved sticky opposition for many visitors and that’s why I’m unsure of a handicap bet here for the league leaders. They have been in ruthless form lately though so I’m going to tip an away win here.
