Real Sociedad v Inter Milan Betting Tips [20 September 2023]

Real Sociedad make their return to the Champions League after a 10-year absence when they host last year’s finalists Inter in Group D. La Real finished fourth in La Liga last season, granting them automatic entry into the group stages. Inter put together a superb run in last year’s Champions League, surpassing expectations to make the final for the first time since their triumphant 2009/10 campaign. The Nerazzurri have a perfect four wins from four games in the Serie A while already amassing a goal differential of +12. They’ve conceded just one goal so far, which came in the team’s most recent 5-1 thrashing of rivals AC Milan on the weekend. With nine goals scored in their last two appearances, the bookmakers clearly rate Simone Inzaghi’s men to get the victory here.

Inter’s fast start to the season combined with Real Sociedad stumbling out of the gates has the books laying the visitors as understandable favorites. However, we believe La Real are being somewhat undervalued here. They proved last season to be a formidable side at the Anoeta and are carrying a lengthy unbeaten home record into this matchup. Real Sociedad should prove to be a stern test for Inter Milan in what will be their first real challenge on the road. Back the home side to at least avoid defeat in this one.
