After 57 matches between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, Djokovic leads by just one. Rafael Nadal bids to not just level the scores but reach yet another final at Roland Garros. The two players will battle it out on Friday afternoon and Nadal has never been beaten in a Roland Garros semi-final. He has only lost one set in this tournament, the second in his four-set win over Diego Schwartzmann on Wednesday. He has won two clay court titles this year and that has included a win over Djokovic. It may be close between them on all surfaces but Nadal is 17-9 up on clay and has won their last five matches on this surface.
Djokovic may be the world number one but he knows that isn't the case on clay. He has made it through to his 11th semi-final but has still only won the French Open on one occasion. He has had his struggles this week and nearly got knocked out in the fourth round by Lorenzo Musetti. If his opponent had been able to stay fit through the whole match, Djokovic would have lost. He played a bit better against Matteo Berrettini but still dropped a set. His outbursts at the end of the evening were just disgraceful. Back Nadal, who looks in much better form than his opponent to get the win here.
