Leicester City’s season hasn’t been great, and their loss to Everton, coupled with other results just confirmed the Foxes won’t be playing in Europe next season. They will host Norwich City in their next game, with Brendan Rodgers’ team placed 14th with 42 points while Norwich are rock bottom with 21 points. The biggest undoing for Leicester City this season has been a poor defence; going into this game, Newcastle United is the only team above them that has conceded more. Leicester have let in 56 goals in 34 league games and in their last 10 they have managed just two clean sheets. They are coming from a 2-1 loss to Everton, which marked their third straight defeat and seventh winless outing. The loss to Everton was however their first in seven league games at home, and they’ve won three of the last five.
Norwich City have nothing to play for; a season after winning the Championship title, they will be going back down to the second tier. They are not going to finish above 19th place in the league and ahead of this game, they have four straight losses. No team has conceded more goals than Norwich (75) in the league this season and they’ve also scored the fewest goals (22). Five wins in 35 matches makes them the side with the fewest wins as well, and not even changing managers worked for them. The visitors are coming from a 4-0 home loss to West Ham United, the third straight game in which they failed to score. Norwich have conceded two or more goals in each of the last four matches and in their last 10 games they’ve managed just one win. The loss to West Ham was their eighth in 10 games and they also have one win in the last 10 away league matches.
Norwich City are the poorest in the league this season and they have nothing more to play for. They can’t finish above 19th and their season is basically over. Leicester can’t get to European slots, after their loss to Everton, so they also don’t have much to play for. However, compared to Norwich, they are stronger, and we will back them to win here.
