Second placed Ipswich Town host out-of-form Peterborough United who are sixth in League One. Ipswich begin the weekend trailing league leaders Plymouth Argyle by a point. They hold the second and final automatic promotion spot and are a point ahead of third placed Sheffield Wednesday. The home side could well be top of the table but have drawn three of their last four league fixtures. They would be the league leaders but for conceding a 96th minute equalizer in their last match at home to Fleeetwood. Ipswich are unbeaten in their last six league games with only Lincoln City beating them in the last 10. Home form has seen Ipswich win five of their ten league fixtures with four draws and just one loss.
Peterborough United occupy the final promotion play-off position. They are a point ahead of Derby County but have played a game more than them. The play-offs seem to be their only hope of winning promotion this season as they are 11 points behind their opponents. They have lost plenty of ground in recent weeks with three successive losses in League One. United also lost in the EFL Trophy and have conceded ten goals in their last four matches in all competitions. In League One, they have the second best home record with seven victories. However, on the road, Peterborough have the 19th best record in the division with three wins and seven defeats. Three of their last four away league matches have ended in defeat. Back Ipswich to get a vital home victory.
