The Serie A title has been won but Inter show no sign of slowing down. The league champions host Roma who are seventh in the table and battling to qualify for European competition next season. It's been a great season in Serie A for Inter with 26 out of 35 league games being won. They are 13 points clear at the top and the only real disappointment this season was failing to get out of their Champions League group. The weekend saw them beat Sampdoria 5-1 at home, revenge for losing to them on January 6. Since that defeat, Inter have gone 19 league games without a loss. Their last three have all been won and at home, Inter have won an incredible 14 in a row in Serie A. They will be out to make it 15 but haven't beaten Roma in a home Serie A league game since 2015. That may be about to change.
Roma are seventh after the weekend fixtures. They had a good win on Sunday with a 5-0 home thrashing of relegated Crotone. That win came three days after winning the home leg of their Europa League semi-final 3-2. Not enough to take them to the final but it ended a poor run of results. They had drawn two and lost four of their previous six league and cup games. Roma are currently in the Europa Conference League postion, two points clear of Sassuolo. They have six points to make up on sixth placed Lazio and from a game more. Finishing sixth would take them into the Europa League and their next game is home to Lazio. Roma have only one win in their last nine away league matches. The last three have all been lost with eight goals conceded. Back Inter to get the home win here.
