Hoffenheim v Werder Bremen Betting Tips [7 October 2022]

Matchday nine in the German Bundesliga sees Hoffenheim hosting Werder Bremen at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena for this Friday kickoff clash. Hoffenheim, who currently sits fifth in the table with 14 points and a 4-2-2 start to the league campaign, will be looking to push its home unbeaten run to five matches. Der Blau are coming off a 1-1 away draw to Hertha in their last outing while their last home result was a 0-0 draw against in-form Freiburg, their first dropped points at home this season. On the other side, Werder Bremen sits eighth in the table on 12 points after a 3-2-2 start. Die Werderaner are coming off a comprehensive 5-1 home thrashing over Borussia Monchengladbach in their last outing and will be hoping to build some consistency with another win here. Werder Bremen has yet to string together two consecutive victories this season but will be hoping their goal scoring form can carry over in their trip north. 

Werder Bremen will be pleased with their start to the season after coming up from the second division last year and have already built up a seven point lead over the relegation zone. However, the side has clearly lacked consistency this season which is to be expected from a recently promoted side. Hoffenheim will hope to take advantage when they meet on Friday and Andre Breitenreiter’s men will have an excellent chance at doing just that with the way they have been performing at home. The hosts have created 14 clear cut scoring chances in their four home matches this season which includes a massive nine in their 4-1 win over Mainz in matchday six. Bremen has been impressive away from home this season, taking the full three points against Dortmund and holding Leverkusen and Wolfsburg to draws. However, they should see their strong away form come to an end here.
