GNK Dinamo Zagreb v Manchester City Betting Tips [11 December 2019]

Dinamo Zagreb are third in Group C, from which Manchester have already qualified and Shakhtar Donetsk are second as Atalanta Bergamo sit at the bottom. Dinamo, Shakhtar and Atalanta all have a chance at qualification, although a win for Donetsk will automatically rule out the other two. Dinamo could only progress with a win, but they have to hope that Shakhtar either lose or draw in their match gainst Atalanta. 

Zagreb have had mixed results in the group stage having won once, drawn twice and lost twice. The Croatian HNL leaders have a great home record currently and are unbeaten in five Champions League games they have hosted at the Stadion Maksimir. The team has also been in great scoring form at home where they have netted  seven goals in two matches at the venue this campaign. But coach Nenad Bjelica will be troubled by the knowledge that his team lost 2-0 at Manchester City. Luckily, for him, the Citizens are struggling with injuries and might end up fielding fringe players. 

Manchester City, who are currently placed third in the English Premier League, opened an unassailable lead after three wins and two losses. They are already through to the knock out stage, but that does not imply that they will give this match any less attention. City just 2-1 at home to Manchester United in league derby game and will appear like wounded animals when they step out in Croatia to face Dinamo. A win  is desirable for coach Pep Guardiola, who had managed a four-game unbeaten run until the loss to United. 

In addition, City go into the match on the back of a not-so-bad away run that has seen them win five times and settle for two draws in the last nine Champions League games. City also scored at least three goals in four of nine away games in Europe. We expect City to give a performance worth their name. 

Dinamo have the greatest need for a victory in this match in addition to a home advantage. We expect them to come out guns blazing, although their best might not be enough to conquer the Manchester side. We expect goals is this match and we foresee the total tally exceeding two.
