This Champions League semi-final is wide open after the first leg. Chelsea came from behind to get a 1-1 draw at Real Madrid and look to finish off the Spaniards at Stamford Bridge. The Londoners know that keeping a clean sheet in this game will win the tie. That away goal may well play a vital role in deciding who reaches the final to face either Manchester City or PSG. Chelsea had a good win at the weekend, beating Fulham 2-0 at home. All of a sudden their German duo of Havertz and Werner are playing well, must be the European Championships soon. They are unbeaten in their last five matches, all low-scoring affairs. Their last six games have all had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Home form has seen them keep home clean sheets in all but one of their last eight Premier League games. Mind you, they did concede five in the other match. In the Champions League this season, Chelsea have only one 'home' game this season, though that was played in Sevilla.
Real Madrid made a poor start to this season's Champions League. At one stage it looked as if they might not qualify for the knockout stages. They fought back well though and ended up winning their group. The last 16 saw them beat Atalanta and then they knocked Liverpool out in the quarters. Each of their last four away games in this season's competition have seen under 2.5 goals scored. The weekend saw them beat Osasuna 2-0 at home, extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to 19 matches. Five of their last six games have had under 2.5 goals scored in them and in three, they failed to score. This could go either way, a bet on under 2.5 goals looks a safe bet to make.
