Burnley are 18th in the Premier League and host fourth placed West Ham United. 17th placed Watford play at Brentford on Friday game and the result of that match will be vital for Burnley. A Watford defeat will mean they can escape the bottom three with a win over the Hammers. A win for Watford would see them six points from safety. Burnley have still only won one Premier League game this season, a home win over Brentford. Last weekend saw them become the first side this season to lose to Newcastle United. That made it four league games without a win, though three have been drawn. Only one of their last 16 home league games has been won, though the often goal-shy Burnley have scored six in the last two.
West Ham had a big win over Chelsea last weekend but are six points adrift of the top three. The win last Saturday ended a run of three league games without a win. Their last two away league fixtures have both been lost with defeats at Manchester City and Wolves. Before those losses though, West Ham had won five of their last six away Premier League games. Overall, West Ham have won four out of seven on the road and can get a win against a side who are struggling for wins.
