With four games to go, Real Betis sit in the Europa Conference League qualifying position. They are in seventh place and host Granada who are in seventh and four points behind their opponents. Betis are only a point behind sixth placed Villarreal, who are in the Europa League place. They play on Sunday and a win over Celta Vigo will extend that gap to four points. However, Villarreal are in this season's final so could be in the Champions League next season if beating Manchester United. Betis really should be higher in the table but they just keep on drawing. Each of their last six league games have been drawn and they only trail fifth placed Real Sociedad by five points with a game in hand. Of the six successive draws, three saw Betis ahead at one stage of the match. They have only lost one of their last 12 league games. Only two have been lost all year and they were inflicted by Barcelona and Sevilla. Home form has seen Betis lose one of the last 12 and that was the defeat by Barcelona in February.
Granada have to win this game to maintain their faint hopes of European football next season. A win would see them draw to within a point of Betis, defeat would see them go seven behind with three to play. Two of their last three games in La Liga have been lost, the most recent being a 1-0 defeat by Cadiz. Away form has caused Granada major problems this year with ten out of 17 being lost. Their away performances have improved of late though with wins at Real Valladolid and Barcelona. In both of those games they had to come from behind to get the victory. A bet on both teams to score is the wager to make.
