Everton have had some bad results of late but bounced back to form on Sunday. A 1-0 win at West Ham left them in eighth and now they travel to Aston Villa who are down in 12th. That win means Everton are only a point behind seventh placed Tottenham and with this game in hand. They are only three points adrift of West Ham in fifth but with an inferior goal difference. A place in either the Europa League or Europa Conference League is again looking possible. Wins against Villa and then Sheffield United and Wolves at home are definitely needed. Their last game is away at Manchester City, not an easy one of course. Everton used to be good at home and terrible away, it's all changed this season. While 36 points have been earned on their travels, it's only 19 at home. How can you win just five at home and 11 away? Only one of their last 13 away Premier League matches have been lost (that was at Chelsea) with four wins in the last six and five clean sheets. Yet six of the last eight at home have seen them concede at least twice, lots of work for Ancelotti to work out in the summer.
Aston Villa took an early lead against Manchester United at the weekend but lost the game 3-1. They recently won at Goodison Park but will find it hard to complete a quickfire league double. That win at Goodison is the only league game they have won in the last five played. Just one of their last seven home league matches has ended in victory, a 3-1 win over doomed Fulham. Their last six league matches have seen both teams score. Everton can get the win here and a side bet on both sides scoring should be a winner too. Be brave and combine the two markets.
