Arsenal v PSV Eindhoven Betting Tips [20 September 2023]

Premier League runners-up Arsenal host Eredivisie runners-up PSV for the first matchday in Group B of the UEFA Champions League. Arsenal are back in Europe’s most prestigious club competition after a seven year absence. PSV finished seven points behind Feyenoord in the Dutch top flight making it five seasons since the Rood-Witten have last won the league title. They look determined to put an end to that run this time out, however, as they’ve gotten off to an unbeaten start. In the Eredivisie, PSV have won four of their first four games. They also had to navigate through the Champions League qualifiers to reach the group stage, defeating Sturm Graz 7-2 on aggregate and 7-3 against Rangers. All told, PSV are unbeaten in their nine total outings across all competitions, eight of which have ended with victories. The visitors are in superb attacking form and come into this fixture off the back of consecutive 4-0 wins. One of those wins came away from home against Waalwijk and the most recent was at home over NEC.

PSV have come storming out of the gates in the new season and are having little trouble finding the net. They’ve scored two or more goals in their last eight appearances but will face a drastic jump up in the quality of opposition here. However, we still think they can breach Arsenal’s defense for one goal in this encounter. Even dating back to last season, Arsenal often find themselves in high-scoring home matches which includes them conceding.
