Feyenoord have picked up just one victory in the Europa League after five games but a win here over Wolfsberger would see them overtake their Austrian hosts and qualify for the round of 32 as group runners-up. Dinamo Zagreb have already sealed first place in Group K with 11 points while Wolfsberger sit second on seven points thanks to their 1-0 win at CSKA Moscow last week. The home side come into this game off the back of a 4-1 loss to Tirol in the Austrian Tipico Bundesliga at the weekend. Their win in Moscow is their only victory in four but the home side do have the advantage in the race for second place. They are yet to win a home game after 90 minutes this season but they have hosted some of those matches at a different venue. The Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt has played host to their European games against CSKA Moscow with whom they drew 3-3 and Dinamo Zagreb who left with all three points in a 3-0 win.
Like their hosts, Feyenoord are out of form and played out a dull 0-0 affair with Heracles in the Eredivisie at the weekend leaving Dick Advocaat’s team 4th in their domestic league. While they do occupy a Europa League qualifying position for next year they could well be out of this season’s competition unless they win in Austria. Feyenoord have five points from five games and were beaten by Wolfsberger 4-1 in the reverse fixture having conceded three penalties in that game.
