After a winless start to the new Scottish Premiership campaign, Rangers will be looking to bounce back against Livingston this weekend. This matchday two will be played at the Ibrox Stadium on Saturday. Rangers were beaten by Kilmarnock 1-0 on matchday one, while Livingston had a 0-0 draw with Aberdeen. The hosts did bounce back in the midweek with a 2-1 win over Servette in the Champions League third round qualifying first leg. While the lead could have been more, it puts the tie tantalisingly in the balance. With the reverse leg on the horizon, the home team does have something to plan for. Yet, they can’t take things lightly and fall further behind with another domestic loss. Thankfully, their form at this venue has been very impressive. Rangers are unbeaten across 21 Premiership home matches winning 18 of those.
Livingston also do not have happy memories of playing here, having lost 13 of their 15 away Premiership matches against the Rangers. One thing they have done better than their hosts is to get on the points board with a goalless draw on matchday one. It only served to extend what has been an indifferent run of form in the league. Going back to previous season, the visitors have won just one of their last seven league games, losing four and drawing two. It gets worse on the road, as Livingston have lost their last eight away league matches – each time without scoring a goal.
