Lithuania host the Faroe Islands for the Nations League. The two teams are bottom of their group so far, with the hosts having zero points and the Faroe Islands having accrued four. Lithuania have been in torrid form recently. They have five defeats on the bounce, while their only win in their last nine came against lowly San Marino. It has not been much better in Vilnius, where the hosts have won just three of their last twenty-two games. They do have a good tradition against the Faroe Islands however, whom they have beaten in their last four home games, keeping clean sheets in two of those.
The Faroe Islands have had one of their best starts in a continental group stage in their history. They have collected four points from four, beating Lithuania and drawing with Luxembourg. The Islanders are also having a great run in recent games, losing only two of their most recent six games, which would seem unimaginable a couple of years ago. Counting on a win would not be such a realistic outcome though for the visitors, who have a solitary win in their last twenty-four on the road, failing to score in eleven of those.
