After a slow start, Juventus are finally showing improved form. They will need to as the Serie A side hosts European champions Chelsea in Group H of the Champions League. Juventus top the group after an opening 3-0 win away at Malmo. They and Chelsea are totally expected to dominate the group as the Londoners beat Zenit 1-0 in the first match of their title defence. Juventus had started the new season with two defeats and a draw. Then they won in Sweden and are now on a four-game unbeaten run. After being in the Serie A relegation zone, they are now in tenth place but still ten points behind leaders Napoli. The weekend saw them beat Sampdoria 3-2 at home, their second successive league win by that score. Needless to say, Chelsea have a much stronger defence for Juventus to try and break down. Juventus have only lost one of their last eight home Champions League games, that was inflicted on them by Barcelona. Ten of their last 13 home league and cup games have seen both teams score as they struggle to keep clean sheets.
Chelsea lost their unbeaten record to Manchester City last Saturday. They are now third in the Premier League but only a point behind leaders Liverpool. Only one of their last 14 Champions League games has been lost, a defeat by Porto on neutral territory last season. Romelu Lukaku will be no stranger to Juventus after he helped Inter take their Serie A title from them last season. Chelsea have shown this season what a force they can be up front, scoring in Italy looks something they can achieve. With Juventus starting to come alive though, a bet on both teams to score looks the one to go for here with a side bet on a draw.
