Two in form teams will collide in League A of the UEFA Nations League when Poland travel to face Itay at the Mapei Stadium. Poland lead Group A with seven points from their first four games while their hosts come into this game with a tally of six points from a possible twelve. Italy returned to action on Wednesday night making light work of Estonia as they cruised to a 4-0 win. Roberto Mancini will more than likely field an even stronger line-up for this Nations League games as they look to overtake their guests here. Italy drew 0-0 with Poland last month and followed it up with a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands. The Azzurri haven’t lost since September 2018 but they have drawn three of their last four competitive matches.
As for Poland they are currently top of the group but two tough assignments against Italy and Netherlands will test their credentials. Poland took pole position in the group by defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 last month and they extended their unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory over neighbours Ukraine in a friendly in midweek. Poland have won four of their last five games coming into this match and did win their last away game in Bosnia by two goals to one.
Italy and Poland have tended to keep their games tight so far in the Nations League across both campaigns. These sides are very evenly matched and that could make for a good game. I do however feel that the defence of both sides can limit the opportunities that either team creates so I'm going to tip under 2,5 goals here.
