Greece bid to make it three wins out of three in this League C group. They host Cyprus who are bottom of the group with just one point from their two games so far. The Greeks are three points ahead of second placed Kosovo. They are in a strong position though as both of their wins have come on their travels. Greece began the group with a 1-0 win in Northern Ireland and then followed that up with a 1-0 victory away in Kosovo. Both of their goals have been scored by Anastasios Bakasetas. This is their third successive time in League C of the Nations League but promotion is looking very likely this time around with three of their final four games at home. Only one of their last 12 home games has been lost and that goes back to 2019.
Cyprus are bottom on one point, behind Northern Ireland on goal difference. Those two countries look certain to be battling it out to avoid going into a relegation play-out. Cyprus began this Nations League campaign with a home game against Kosovo. They kept a clean sheet until the 65th minute but eventually lost the game 2-0. Next up they had a goalless home draw with Northern Ireland. Three of their final four group games will be played away so it's going to be difficult for them to avoid finishing bottom. Cyprus have only won one of their last 13 internationals, a home win over Estonia. They have failed to score in three of their last four matches and 10 of the last 13. On their travels, Cyprus have gone 13 games without a win and had lost nine in a row before getting a draw in Estonia. That win was in the 2020/21 Nations League relegation play-out tie and kept Cyprus in League C for a third straight season. Back Greece to win this game and be ahead at both half and full time.
