Both clubs come into this Premier League game needing a win. Burnley are 19th in the table with visitors Manchester United six places above them. It's been a tough start for Burnley on their return to the Premier League. This is their fourth home game of the season in five fixtures but they are still waiting to record their first victory. They lost their first three games (all at home) against Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham. A point was finally earned when drawing 1-1 at Nottingham Forest on Monday evening. That could have been a win but they let the lead they took in the first half slip. They will be concerned about the number of goals that are being conceded, but then again that also applies to their opponents.
Manchester United come into this game having had seven goals put past them in their last two games. A 3-1 home loss to Brighton and Hove Albion was followed by a 4-3 defeat away at Bayern Munich in the Champions League. It may still be September but as was the case last season, Manchester United have started the new term poorly. They are already seven points behind the top four and nine adrift of league leaders Manchester City. United did well to close the gap last season when in a similar position and need to do so again now. It's not the best of times at the clubs with the Sancho problem and ongoing saga about the sale of the club. United have won two league games this season and struggled to get those. Tottenham, Arsenal and Brighton have all beaten them and so far in the Premier League, they have conceded ten goals. A bet on over 2.5 goals in this match is our prediction.
