Juventus will be looking to pick up where they left off in Serie A, back on March 8th, with a victory when they resume their 2019-20 campaign away to mid-table Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. The Italian giants lost to Napoli in the Coppa Italia final on penalties on Wednesday and will now switch their focus back to the league, where they currently have a one-point lead over Lazio at the top of the table.
Bologna finished with just one win from five games between Christmas and the imposed break and resume the season in 12th position. The Rossoblu are currently three games without a victory and their fortune doesn't seem like changing with the visit of the league's best. The hosts haven't managed to keep a clean sheet at home in 12 matches, a run stretching back to matchday two of the season. On average they concede 1.53 goals per home game and matches at this venue have produced 2.9 goals on average across 13 fixtures.
Maurizio Sarri was denied a Coppa Italia triumph by his former side Napoli but Juventus are in pole position as the Serie A season resumes. The Old Lady are aiming for a ninth consecutive Scudetto and after defeating Inter before the enforced hiatus Lazio have emerged as their nearest challengers. Juventus have lost three of their last five matches away from home in all competitions but their record of eight wins, two draws and three defeats, totalling 26 points, is the fourth best in Serie A.
With 13 games to go it looks like we have a title race to enjoy in Serie A and the current league leaders resume their defense of the title with what should be a straightforward trip to Bologna. The hosts do tend to score though and Juventus will have to score multiple goals but that's something I feel they have the ability to do. I'm backing Juventus to win this game and for over 2,5 goals to be scored.
