Barcelona beat Borussia Dortmund 5-3 on aggregate in the quarters. They lost their away leg 3-1 but have maintained a good run at home. Inter will be the second Italian team Barcelona hosts in the competition this year.

Inter Milan have suddenly dipped in form, and it happens at a very crucial time. They are coming from a fourth straight winless outing. Their last three matches all ended in defeat, and Inter Milan have in the process, gotten eliminated from one cup competition.

In their weekend match, the Italian champions lost 1-0 at home to Roma. That saw them drop from the league summit, having earlier lost 1-0 to Bologna.

In between, the team suffered a 3-0 loss to archrivals AC Milan and was, as a consequence, eliminated from the Coppa Italia. Inter will hope to keep up their good run in Europe. 

These two sides are giants in their own respect, and their meetings have always been cracking. Going back three years, when they last met, they played to a 3-3 draw. Inter are unbeaten in the last two matches against Barcelona, but in their current form, they will struggle here.
