Mikel Arteta’s men, however, recovered with a resounding 3-0 win over Monaco in the Champions League in midweek. They will be gunning for an eighth unbeaten outing.

Everton do not really like this fixture; Arsenal have over the years been the dominant party in this encounter. The fact that they will be playing away from home will not lift many spirits among the visiting fans.

Everton lost the last three matches against Arsenal and they also fell in the last three visits to the Emirates. They will benefit from the postponement of their match against Liverpool last time out.

The extra rest will do them some good and hope they can build ion the 4-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers. To this game, Everton carry a run of three away matches without a goal.

Arsenal stumbled in their last league game, drawing with Fulham, and as a result dropped to third place in the league standings. They will be keen to bounce back and after their midweek win over Monaco, they’ll be confident too.
