Wolfsburg v Borussia Dortmund Betting Tips [23 May 2020]

VfL Wolfsburg beat Augsburg 2-1 as the German Bundesliga resumed and are remained sixth in the table standings, the final Europa League play-off position. They are 15 points behind their opponents, second placed Borussia Dortmund. This is the second time that the two sides are meeting this season after the reverse fixture ended in a 3-0 win for Dortmund who are unbeaten at home in the Bundesliga this season. 

Wolfsburg almost lost two points in their game against Augsburg after they allowed Tin Jedvaj to equalize following a Renato Steffen strike. However, Daniel Ginczek came through in the nick of time to secure the victory with a last minute goal. This was the first win for Wolfsburg in five games across all competitions. At home, Wolfsburg are playing fairly well and have won three times in six games, two of which ended with draws. Four of Wolfsburg's last six home games had over 2.5 goals scored and three had goals by both opponents. 

Visitors Borussia Dortmund thrashed Schalke 04 on a 4-0 scoreline a match that had goals by Erling Haland, Thorgan Hazard and Raphael Guerreiro, who netted a brace. The win was Dortmund's fifth in six matches across all competitions. On the road, Dortmund are in above average form after three wins in six games, four of which had over 2.5 goals scored. They will want to keep winning as they trail Bayern Munich by four points and face them in midweek.

Wolfsburg may have a home advantage in this game, but they are up against a resilient Dortmund side, which will do all in their capacity to carry the day. The home side may end up with a goal in this match but the victory belongs to the visitors.
