These two clubs had contrasting results in Europe in midweek. West Ham are seventh in the Premier League, two places behind their visitors Tottenham. The Hammers had a comfortable 3-0 home win over Genk in the Europa League on Thursday, making it five wins in their last six matches. West Ham are only a point behind Tottenham but do need to improve their home form in the Premier League. Only one of out of four home games have been won by the Hammers this season. They began with a 4-1 win over Leicester but have only earned one point from the last three, with the last two being lost to Manchester United and Brentford. Keeping home clean sheets is a problem for them in the Premier League. Only one has been kept in their last nine at home with both teams scoring in all four home league games this season.
Tottenham made plenty of changes for Thursday's Europa Conference League game. That didn't work and they lost 1-0 away at Vitesse. The rested players will be back for this game at West Ham. It's been an inconsistent season though with three league games won, three lost and then a couple more won. They may be fifth in the table but have a goal difference of -3. Their last three games in the Premier League have all seen both teams score. That's happened in six of their last eight away league games. Back that stat to come up again this weekend.
