West Brom slipped to third in the Championship after a midweek loss at Swansea. They look to get back in winning ways with a victory over 16th placed Bristol City. Albion begin the weekend a point behind second placed Fulham. The loss to Swansea was their second in three league games after being beaten by Stoke earlier in October. The loss in Wales was a disappointing one as West Brom took a first minute lead. Both losses were on the road though and they remain unbeaten at home in the league this season. Of six games played, four have been won and two drawn. Three of the last five home league matches have seen Albion keep a clean sheet.
Bristol City may be 16th but they are only five points behind the final promotion play-off place. They are seven points above the bottom three so their next few games may well decide which way their season is going to go. After this match they face Barnsley and Birmingham who are both in the bottom six at present. A decent result here and then two wins would transform their season. The problem is they just aren't in good form at present. Three of their last four games in the Championship have been lost, the last two at home. Away form has seen them win four and draw two, so they can still be dangerous. Albion are strong at home though and they can get a narrow win.
