West Brom can go top of the Championship with a home win over Birmingham City. They begin this game second in the table and host local rivals Birmingham City who are down in 16th. West Brom need to bounce back from their first league loss of the season. That came away at Stoke City and ended their ten-game unbeaten league run. Five home league games this season have produced three wins and two draws. They had drawn two home league games in a row, before beating QPR 2-1, a decent win considering they went a goal down in the first minute.
Birmingham City are six points behind the final promotion play-off place but only four points above the relegation zone. Their season began well with only one loss in their first six league fixtures. It's all gone wrong since then though with a run of one point from five games. Only one goal has been scored by them in those matches and that was a penalty when 4-0 down at home to Fulham. The past four league games have seen them fail to score and concede eight goals. Away form has seen Birmingham win their first two but earn just one point from the next three. Back West Brom to get the win and go top of the Championship.
