Liverpool travel to Villarreal in a strong position in their Champions League semi-final. They won the first leg 2-0 at home, though it took until the 53rd minute to take the laad. Even then it was an own goal that put them ahead but two minutes later they doubled that lead. The weekend saw them win 1-0 at Newcastle as they try to catch Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 13 away games in all competitions. They have won each one of their five away matches in this season's Champions League with 15 goals scored. They've managed to put at least two goals past all their opponents and will fancy being able to finish the job off in this tie.
Villarreal have done incredibly well to reach this stage. They have beaten Juventus and Bayern Munich and are unbeaten in their last 12 home games. The weekend didn't go well for them with a 2-1 loss at Alaves who are in the bottom three in La Liga. The defeat puts Villarreal in seventh place and in danger of missing out on European football next season. Only once in their last six home games have they managed to score more than once. Getting two goals against Liverpool isn't going to be an easy task. It's probably going to be more than that amount needed as it's hard to see them keeping a clean sheet in this match. Go for Liverpool to get an away win.
