It's been a disappointing Euro 2020 so far for these two teams. Switzerland are third with a single point, while Turkey have lost both of their matches. Switzerland had been in good form leading up to the start of Euro 2020. That form hasn't been carried into the tournament though and just as is the case with their opponents, they need something from this game to have a chance of progressing. They led against Wales in their opening match but conceded a second half goal and then had a late 'winner' ruled out by VAR. Then came the difficult task of playing Italy in Rome and even though they had 51% of possession, they still lost 3-0. Only one of their six goal chances were on target and against Wales it was 18 chances but only four on target. At least they are making chances though and against Turkey's defence, they should be able to create plenty of them. A win will see them finish on four points but that may not secure second place due to their minus three goal difference. It would most likely be enough to get them through as one of the best third placed sides.
Turkey might not even progress even if they win this match. They come into this final game with no points and a minus five goal difference. Winning this game and scoring a few goals looks the order of the day, but can they do that? From what has been seen so far it doesn't look as if they can. They have been creating chances but are yet to score a goal at Euro 2020. The loss to Wales would have been a heavier one if not for Gareth Bale missing a second-half penalty. Away form for Turkey is not good with only Norway beaten in their last five matches. Back Switzerland to get the win here.
