Sheffield Wednesday v Swansea Betting Tips [13 April 2021]

This game affects both the top and the bottom of the Championship. 23rd placed Sheffield Wednesday host Swansea City who are fourth in the table. They have had contrasting results in their last two league games with a 5-0 win over Cardiff, followed by a 4-1 Saturday loss at QPR. They now begin a run of three home league games in eight days. They had a poor run in late February/early March with three straight home losses and two by teams just above the relegation zone. Wednesday could have got a win over Huddersfield but scored an own goal with 18 minutes remaining. No mistakes in their most recent home game though, beating Cardiff City 5-0 with three goals in the first 23 minutes. More of that form is needed against the other Welsh side in the Championship. 

Swansea City's hopes of automatic promotion seem to have gone. They are ten points behind the final automatic promotion spot, so need to concentrate on confirming a top six finish. Swansea are six points clear of seventh so a few more wins are needed to ensure they go into the play-offs again. They had a much needed win at the weekend, going to Millwall and winning 3-0. That ended a terrible run of four straight league defeats without a goal being scored. Away form for Swansea has seen three of the last six won but defeats at Birmingham and Bournemouth. They have scored in eight of their last ten away league fixtures. A bet on both teams to score is the tip here.
