Relegation is but a few weeks away for bottom of the Premier League Sheffield United. They host Arsenal who are in 10th place and still trying to get European football next season. The Blades are rock bottom and 15 points from safety, virtually 16 due to their appalling goal difference. United have lost 24 league games this season, that's seven more than any other side in the Premier League. Seven of their last eight league games have all been lost, the other a home win over Aston Villa. Just two goals have been scored by them in their last seven league matches. Home form has seen three of their last four lost. The reverse fixture against Arsenal ended in a 2-1 defeat for them.
Arsenal were held to a 1-1 home draw by Sparta Prague in the Europe League on Thursday. That gives them a tough task in the second leg as they try to get into the Champions League by winning that competition. As far as the Premier League goes, they will be wanting top four teams to win both the domestic cup competitions. That would see seventh be good enough for European qualification. That's still seven points away and could be ten by the time this game kicks off. The draw with Sparta made it four games without a win for the Gunners. Only one of their last five away Premier League games have been won with the last two being drawn. They have to win games like this and can get the victory here.
