Sassuolo v Inter Milan Betting Tips [2 October 2021]

Inter will be hoping to get back to winning ways as they take the trip to Sassuolo in the Serie A on Matchday seven. The visitors are placed third in the league table with fourteen points from six games while the hosts see themselves at twelfth place in the standings with seven points from six fixtures. Inter have had a strong start to Serie A with four wins and two draws, but that has not been enough to get to the top of the table, courtesy of an exceptional run of form from league leaders, Napoli. Simone Inzaghi’s side come into the Sassuolo game with two draws in a row to Shakhtar Donetsk and Atalanta in the Champions League and Serie A respectively. Despite a strong start in Serie A, there are problems at the back for Inter. They have conceded in each of their last five matches in Serie A and clean sheets have been hard to come by. 

Sassuolo come into the Inter fixture with an encouraging 1-0 win at home against Salernitana. The Salernitana win ended a three-game losing streak for the hosts in Serie A and give them the much-needed confidence before squaring up against the defending champions. Sassuolo also bring in defensive concerns into the Inter fixture, keeping just a single clean sheet in their last four matches in Serie A. The two teams last met back in April where Inter ran out 2-1 winners over Sassuolo at the San Siro. 

While Inter Milan do have their defensive problems to take care of, they have enough firepower to overcome Sassuolo at home. However, the hosts have returned back to winning ways after a disappointing start to their Serie A campaign. We are going for a double chance bet for this fixture with a draw and a win for Inter as the possible outcomes.
