Rotherham are 22nd in the table and six points from safety. They have up to four games in hand on those above them and will hope to close the gap with a home win over 11th placed QPR. It's a vital nine days for them with four consecutive home league games. Just how they get on in these matches will go a long way to deciding whether they can escape relegation to League One. The weekend saw them go to Huddersfield Town and come back with a point from a goalless draw. With both Derby County and Coventry City losing, that has helped them a bit but there's a lot of work to do to survive. Their last five league games have only produced four points with just one win against Bristol City.
With only two wins in the last 11 fixtures, they need to make a lot of improvement to avoid relegation. Home form is appalling at present with each of the last five being lost. Only one of the last nine home league games has been won, a victory over Derby who are two places above them. Three of the last four on home soil have seen them fail to get on the scoresheet. Home and away, Rotherham have gone three games without a goal, they better score some soon or it's League One next season.
QPR are 20 points ahead of their opponents but a dozen behind the final promotion play-off position. No promotion or relegation for them this season then. They have only lost one of their last five league matches, an away loss at Nottingham Forest. Only two of their last 11 away league fixtures have been lost and their last two wins have been impressive ones. They've won at Watford and Bristol City, good scalps to take. The reverse fixture took place in November and it was QPR who ran out 3-2 winners. With Rotherham struggling for form, go for a QPR win here.
