One of the losses was to Switzerland in the Nations League and th two countries could meet in the last 16. South Korea have been disappointing in this group. A draw with Uruguay wasn't a bad result but losing 3-2 to Ghana was. It was even more disappointing after coming from 2-0 down to level the scores. Only one game in nine had been lost before this tournament began. That defeat was a 3-0 loss to Japan so that gave a hint of how they might get on in Qatar. Back Portugal to win this match.

The dream scenario for Portugal is to get in the position where they win this group. The earlier they can do that then the chance comes to take key players off and save them for the last 16. They have had two good wins and were much better in their second fixture. Anything but a win means South Korea will be eliminated.
