Rayo Vallecano v Mirandés Betting Tips [14 April 2021]

Rayo Vallecano look to get another three points to boost their promotion hopes. They are in sixth place and host Mirandes who are down in 12th place. The home side are in the final promotion play-off place in La Liga II. They have a lead of six points over seventh placed Girona and this is their game in hand. February and March saw them go through a bad patch with no wins in five league games. There's been a big improvement since then though with four wins in the last five. The last two games have really helped their play-off hopes.  They won away at Almeria who are in third and then came from behind to beat Girona 2-1 and open up that six point gap. Home form has seen them win 10 of their 16 fixtures, win number 11 looks on the way.

Mirandes can close to within eight points of the promotion play-offs positions if beating Rayo Vallecano. Losing would almost certainly end their promotion hopes as they'd be 12 behind sixth place with Sporting Gijon dropping to sixth. Their current form is not that of promotion chasers with only one win (at Gijon) in their last five league games with four points earned. The most recent Mirandes league fixture saw them lose 1-0 at home to Logrones who are 16th. Mirandes are only nine points above the relegation zone, so a couple more wins at least are needed before they can truly say they are safe. Away form had seen them lose three consecutive league games before coming from behind to win at Gijon. They are hit and miss on their travels with seven wins and eight lost with just one drawn. Rayo Vallecano are in good form and can get the three points here.
