PSG still dream of winning the Champions League. They have a tough draw in the last 16 and host Real Madrid in the first leg. The French side are well clear at the top of Ligue 1, so can concentrate more on finally landing the Champions League title. A good home result is important for them though. They lost two of their away games in the group stages, being beaten at Manchester City and RB Leipzig. All three home games were won though with nine goals scored, though both Leipizig and Brugge got on the scoresheet. PSG come into this game unbeaten in 14 games since being beaten at Manchester City in November. Not since last April have they lost at home (City the culprits again). They may be keeping home clean sheets in Ligue 1 and the French Cup (five in a row) but this is a lot tougher.
Real Madrid of course know just what it's like to win Europe's top club competition. A win this year would be their 14th Champions League/European Cup triumph but their first since 2018. They won five of their six group games, the other being a surprising 2-1 home loss to Sheriff Tiraspol. Only one of their last nine league and cup games have been lost and this year has already seen them win the Spanish Super Cup. Real have scored nine goals in their three away Champions League games. Back both teams to get on the scoresheet in this match.
