Nottingham Forest are bottom of the Premier League and host Aston Villa on Monday. The visitors began the weekend in 14th place but only four points above their opponents. Forest have only won one game since their return to the Premier League. That was a 1-0 home win over West Ham. That was followed up by an away draw at Everton where only a late goal prevented a second win. It's all gone wrong since then with five successive league defeats and 18 goals conceded. Three home Premieer League games in a row have been lost but boss Steve Cooper has been given a new contract. With only four home fixtures before the break for the World Cup, Forest need to be getting points but their defending has to improve. Four goals have been scored in their last three home games but all were lost.
Aston Villa have eight points from their eight games this season. Two games have been won and two drawn but half their league games have ended in defeat. Away form is a major worry for Villa with only one point earned from four games. The first three on the road were all lost before finally getting off the mark with a draw at Leeds United last weekend. Villa are unbeaten in their last three league games with the one win being over Southampton. This is the kind of game that they need to get points from if wanting to avoid a relegation battle this season. Go for Villa to win or draw this match.
