Netherlands v Austria Betting Tips [17 June 2021]

Both of these countries won their opening game in Group C. It's Austria who top the group on goal difference after their 3-1 win over North Macedonia. The Netherlands are in second after a late goal saw them beat Ukraine 3-2 to extend their unbeaten run to five games. The only defeat suffered in the last 11 games was a recent loss in Turkey and since then 17 goals have been scored in five matches, though they've conceded twice in two of their last three matches. They looked like getting an easy win over Ukraine in their opening match after going 2-0 up. Then they conceded two goals in four minutes and needed an 85th minute winner to get the three points. This is another home game for the Netherlands and they are unbeaten in their last six with four of the last five won. 

Austria have three points and a +2 goal difference and that win over North Macedonia could see them into the next round. No third place side has more than a point at present, so if Austria did drop to that position in this group, they are in a good position to progress. They did beat North Macedonia by two clear goals but the game was level going into the 78th minute. The win was their first ever in a European Championships final and ended a wait of 31 years since they beat the USA in the 1990 World Cup finals. Sunday's win ended a run of three games (all without scoring) without a win. Back the Netherlands to win this game.
