Napoli lost their 100% record in Serie A when being held to a draw at Roma on Sunday. They are still top of the table but only on goal difference and host ninth placed Bologna. Napoli had won eight league games in a row this season before the goalless draw at Roma. They will look to get back in winning ways and get a fifth consecutive home league win. So far they scored seven goals at home with only one conceded. Napoli are unbeaten in their last 15 home games in Serie A and that includes a 3-1 win over Bologna. That was their sixth win in the last seven home league games against Thursdays visitors.
Bologna did win at Napoli in 2019 but that was when Napoli were in the doldrums and went six home league games without a win. It's a very different Napoli that they face this week. Bologna are ninth in Serie A but 13 points behind Napoli and only six above the relegation zone. Their most recent game saw them lose 4-2 at home to Milan (second behind Napoli). They went 2-0 down in that game, got it back to 2-2 but then conceded two late goals. That loss takes Bologna to just one win in their last six Serie A fixtures. Only two of their last 19 away league games have been won, both last season against sides that were relegated. This season has produced two points from four games with ten conceded in losses against Inter and Empoli. Six of their last ten away league matches have seen them concede at least twice. Back Napoli to win this and be ahead at both half and full time.
